Spinning Disk Colour Illusion

The disk pictured here will print as a three inch square at 72 dpi.  If spun between 60 and 240 rpm, a colour sensation will be created even in monochromatic light.  This figure is taken from 'From Sight to Light" by R A Weale, Oliver and Boyd Ltd., 1968.
